I started my spring break early so I could get ready for the big wedding weekend. After I nearly worked myself to death, I left school on Thursday at noon to get a jump on my wedding chores. The first thing I did was get a haircut. One has to have good hair when one is in a wedding! :) After that, I ran a few errands and got busy with the baking. I was making Chris's groom's cake and the wedding cake as well as a birthday cake for Chris's brother an another birthday cake for someone else. I was very busy! Thursday night, I baked 14 cakes. Seriously.
Friday morning, I got up super early and started working on cakes. I finished the Lightning McQueen birthday cake first. Then Andrew's Coors Light cake. Then Chris's yard cake. I took a short break to have my nails done and tan. Then Icame home and got ready for the rehearsal.
Rehearsal was at the church at 6:30. I was only a few minutes late. Considering all the stuff I had to do, I thought I did pretty well. We got all the details of the ceremony worked out. I practiced Ave Maria with Mom. (Mom played the piano for the ceremony and I played Ave Maria with her for the grandparents to walk in.)
After rehearsal we went down for dinner. The food was really good. Yummy chicken and rice and salad for those people that eat salad. I don't. Yuck. Krystle gave us our bridesmaid's presents. Super cute jewelry bags with our initials, teardrop earrings, and circle necklaces to wear to the wedding.
After dinner, we put on the bridesmaid shirts that I made for us and went out in downtown York for a little while. I was Krystle's ride, so I was basically just waiting for her to be ready to go to her parents' house. It was fun relaxing and hanging out with the wedding party though. :)
When Krystle was ready, I took her home and then I came home and did the crumb coats on the wedding cake. And then I went to bed.
(I am sorry there are no pictures from this evening of fun. I was in a hurry and had 2 cakes to deliver and I forgot my camera. Hopefully I can get a copy of a picture of us in our bridesmaid shirts. If I can get one, I'll post it later.)
