I made Anna's Valentine shirt with a heart cookie cutter, some zebra fabric, an A that I traced off the computer, some pink fabric, some wonder under and some pink thread.

Shoe Redo
I decided to redo some old shoes. (Pinterest is going to be the death of me.) This is what they looked like before.
I took a fat quarter of cute material (97 cents at WalMart) and cut it in half. Using Mod Podge, I glued the fabric to the shoe.
I put some garnet fabric (that I just had lying around) inside and covered the whole thing with Mod Podge.
They're a little stiff, but I'm hoping that wearing them once will fix that.

Go Gamecocks!!
On a whim, I bought a wreath form, some yarn, and some felt at Hobby Lobby on Wednesday. I wrapped the wreath in yarn, used my long lost rotary cutter to cut some felt diamonds, and glued the diamonds on the wreath. Then I wrapped some more yarn over the diamonds to give it an argyle look. It sat that way until the morning.
This morning, I cut some felt circles, cut them into spirals, and made them into roses. Add a few leaf shapes, some hot glue, and some ribbon to hang it and voila! A Gamecock wreath, just in time for baseball season! :)

Circus Shirt!
We went to the circus yesterday. Anna did not have anything circus-appropriate to wear, so I decided to make her a shirt. Here it is:
Nothing fancy. I just drew an elephant, cut it out of a piece of a 97 cent fat quarter from WalMart, backed it with Wonder Under and ironed it on a $4 shirt from WalMart, stitched around it with hot pink thread, and sewed a little hot pink bow on. It turned out exactly like I wanted it to!
And looked so cute on my sweet girl at the circus! :)
I wish I had more time to be crafty!!

Because Mugs Deserve Clothes Too
So tonight on Facebook, my new friend Jennifer (who I met when she made a fabulous bracelet for Mom and a beautiful necklace for me) posted this link to my wall and said I should make this and call it a "Smuggie". So I did. And here it is. :)
I'm pretty glad I had this pink and black and white zebra-ish yarn in my stash. :)

The Beard Hat
I had seen these beard hats online a gazillion times. I'd even searched for the pattern, but people were charging a ridiculous amount of money just to download it. I finally found (through Pinterest) a site, run by someone who also thinks it is ridiculous to spend a ton of money for just a pattern, with a free beard pattern that could be attached to a regular hat. Since my cousin, Bobby, had just asked me to make one for him, I set the hook in motion. Here is the finished project.
I Am A Major Blogging Slacker
So here's what's up. I spend a million hours a week working. Anna blogs (almost) daily. I spend lots and lots of time on Facebook and Pinterest. And I never blog on MY blog anymore. Fail.
So I'm thinking that this blog is going to change course for the New Year. When I started it, it was about daily life things. I think that it will become more about the crafty things I do, the rare occasions that I cook, and ideas that I have. I mean, let's face it. My life is not interesting enough to read about! But sometimes, I make cool stuff. Occasionally, I may throw in life events for fun.
So there it is. I hope to blog again before a year and a half has passed.
